Love this discussion. Definitely resonated with the obedience first as the correct way to parent and the fear around being responsible for how my kids turn out. I have to tell my older 2 all the time how sorry I am for being so much harsher with them than their youngest brother. Also resonated with April talking about not being a hypocrite. My parents were not hypocrites and we have tried really hard to not be hypocrites with our kids. It seems to be a big part of the formula that helps.
